When I was in Jr. High, someone told me that Venice would disappear one day. Water level would get too high and the entire city would be submerged. Like any naive 14 yr old, I felt rather cheated because I truly believed it could be swallowed at any minute, and the panic of not being … Continue reading Tried to ‘Venice’ like an Instagrammer
Exploring the charming streets of Marseille has continued to fuel my love for Southern France. We were sitting around a table that was a bit wobbly. Think it could use a piece of cardboard or two beneath it to level it out. We ordered some drinks while my friend, Sam, was looking for a decent, … Continue reading Marseille
"Know first who you are and then adore yourself accordingly." -Jojo Moyes I asked her, “is it normal to feel this way?” She nodded her head as if it were a cue to agree with me but she didn’t open her mouth. I asked again, “is it normal to not want to be around anyone?” … Continue reading That time I discovered I was an Introvert
"I read the rules before I break them." When I was 17, I thought it was smart to hop in a car and drive to North Carolina with a friend. We had 100 dollars to our names, but we were sure that it would be enough to get us there and back. We planned to … Continue reading Licensed to Rebel
Though I could never live in a big city such as Boston, I enjoy visiting from time to time. My favorite time to go is on a Sunday. It’s less crowded, and much easier to find free parking. Plus the stress of driving through the city is lessened when there are less people on the road. When I was in college, I didn’t really appreciate all the things that the city had to offer because I had places that I frequent at and there was not really much time to truly explore. While I have lived in this state my entire life, I still don’t know Boston all that well. Instagram has truly served as a wonderful platform to find new spots to check out. This past Sunday, my little boy and I went up to the city to spend the day with our good friend, Ellie. The weather was not accommodating in the least as it was raining, and gloomy out (I honestly have the best luck when it comes to weather, guys!). It was a good thing that we did not have any set plans on what to do that day, so our flexibility worked in our favor. Here is how we spent our day in Beantown
I feel as though, sometimes, the best way to truly appreciate the life you live is by reflecting on all the good things. What better time to do that than the end of another year? 2017 was quite the year for me: the loss of my grandfather, the end of a relationship, the discovery of … Continue reading Reflecting on 2017
“How did it get so late so soon?” - Dr. Seuss I have been thinking a lot about time, and there is a tied emotion for which I have no words to articulate. I know that I have been wandering around this universe with this incredibly dark cloud following me. The familiar feeling of resentment … Continue reading Time Won’t Give You a Minute
There are many tourist traps out there but I think this is quite the catch. It was a relaxing thing to do after our flight. The silica mask softened our skin and I can't imagine a better way to be welcomed to Iceland than to soak in the Lagoon for several hours. Definitely recommend it.
This was perhaps one of the most scenic drive that I've taken in Norway. I'm glad that we made good use of the daytime to really see all that this beautiful country has to offer. All of it's surrounding mountains and valleys creates the most picturesque landscapes.
